Having great staff compliments the best daycare facility. At Sportsplex Daycare, we’re proud to have some of the best certified early childhood educators, instructors and coaches in B.C.
Bud Pope (Coach Bud)
Daycare Manager
I have been the General Manager of the Sportsplex since it opened in 1999. Providing a daycare facility in an ice arena just seemed like a great fit for all of the children that are interested in sports and physical activity.
My goal is to bring an enriched, stimulating curriculum to our classes, emphasizing the need to balance a nurturing and active environment with a strong educational program.
I am dedicated to providing a high quality daycare with an emphasis on sports at Sportsplex Daycare where all our children will have an opportunity to learn and gain self-confidence while interacting with their peers. They will develop social skills as they participate in planned sports programs and demonstrate their creative abilities through sensory and manipulative play.
A nurturing environment is the foundation for all our children to grow and develop in a positive learning environment, and our dedicated teachers are committed to upholding this principal.
Each and every child is valued at Sportsplex Daycare and they will leave our centre having been challenged and motivated.

Head Teacher
I just want to share my thoughts with you about working with Sportsplex Daycare. Sportsplex is an amazing place to work. At Sportsplex, you’re recognized and respected as an educator, as an individual and your talents are taken into account. I am very happy to work with a team who cares as much about the children as I do. Sportsplex Daycare is just an amazing place to grow, learn and have fun in a stimulating environment.
